Ghost Buster Cocktail Recipe
Derrick Schommer: Welcome to the Saturday special Saturday edition of Sunday Night Shooters a day early because it is Halloween. If you’re watching this, maybe there’s some kids playing and running outside, ringing the doorbell.
Female: Give them one of these.
Derrick Schommer: No. Don’t do that because that would be bad and we would lose any potential sponsors forever. What we’re going to do is this is going to be called a Ghost Buster. It’s another fact drink but it’s —I mean—you had it. Was it good?
Female: It was good.
Derrick Schommer: It was good. It’s a shooter you can make it as a full drink, tall drink however you want to call it long drink.
Female: Unless you don’t like Peach Schnapps.
Derrick Schommer: Unless you don’t like Peach Schnapps because we’ve got Peach Schnapps in here. We’re running low, so hopefully I have enough. One ounce of Peach Schnapps, one ounce of melon liqueur in this case we’re using Midori because this it’s like the original or something.
And we’re going to put it in a shot glass, pretty good and we’re going to drip five drops or whatever looks good to make a neat ghost-like effect. Yeah, let’s do it.
All right, we’re going to shake the base ingredients with ice because otherwise it’s going to be for the work, and were’ going to do one ounce of one ounce, so that’s pretty just one ounce of one ounce.
Female: Like Einstein.
Derrick Schommer: I am the original Einstein no, Frankenstein. What I’ll do for the show? I look, so you’re saying this is me normally, that’s true. I can’t act so this is it. This is how normally I am. Take it or leave it.
We’re going to drip these things by the way with the straw. You know, I should fully cut the straw because this is one of the bendy ones, so I’ve got kids and I could find anymore straws, so that’s what I get.
Oh yeah, ice. I should do, over do, perfect, shake it. Charm and I’m having fun. It’s the last show of the holiday. Next, we have thanksgiving, should I work a turkey soup?
Female: Yes, what do you think?
Derrick Schommer: I don’t even know where you get a turkey soup. But if you know where to get a turkey soup, send me an email. I’ll search Amazon for a turkey soup. That will be a little weird. There we go. So, that’s your base. It’s a little you know.
Female: Cloudy.
Derrick Schommer: Cloudy because it’s a sugar and then see if this works and what I did here I can’t even tell you. It’s— I just pour the bunch of Baileys into a shot glass just so I could –a shot glass, measuring glass or anything. So, I can get drops in there.
And really you just do whatever looks cool because I look so hard, it’s got like strands and craziness going on in there, so you get this —it’s weird it even set solely.
You’ve got like cloudiness on the top and then you’ve got this whirlwind of craziness in there that looks cool. I can do more. We have the power going there we go, and just you make each one different because it’s really random what you’re going to get.
Good? We take this drink. We put it in our mouth, there we go. Am I good? It’s so tasty, so sweet. Weird that is it’s not super, super duper like thick sweetness.
Female: It’s peachy.
Derrick Schommer: It is peachy with little lemon kick are on the end. Baileys, there’s a little maybe hint, and maybe you won’t even know if you didn’t have knowledge.
Female: Qualities?
Derrick Schommer: If you don’t have qualities. No, if you didn’t know what was in there, you're just like, “I don’t know what that is.” You might not taste it. If you know there’s Baileys, you’ll probably going to taste little chocolate like coffee essence that type of thing. But really, it’s peach rolled around with a little melon near the back which is weird because it should be right at the tip.
Overall, it’s a nice sweet shooter. If you’re going to have people over, line them up. Make a little trivia like a little ghost inside of them, and everybody’s going to be happy and they’ll give you nice big hugs.
I’m your host Derrick Schommer for Everydaydrinkers.tv in our special Halloween week. I hope you had fun and you make some cool cocktails. If you get new ones that I haven’t heard off, leave us comments, and we’re teaching you how to drink.
Cheers!
