Male: Essential information from Fine Living. Female: I love receiving gifts from people who have taken as much trouble selecting what goes on the outside as what comes on the inside. I like to experiment with different kinds of papers. Another important thing to consider when you’re wrapping your gifts is the supplies that you’ll use. You could be very well off with just a nice sharp pair of scissors. Remember not to cut tape with your scissors because it can affect your ability to cut through a piece of paper cleanly. There’s so much more available out there than just ribbons these days. There’s raffia, ___ which is a paper covered cord. Twine works well. I’ve sewn gifts using a needle and thread but I think the most important thing is to make sure that it’s inspired. I’ve never been really intimidated by the idea of a challenging gift to wrap because when it comes to wrapping gifts, there really are no rules so the more adventurous I can be, it makes the receiving part of it that much more special.
