Welcome back to the Getting Started to Gmail series.
Up at the top of your inbox, you may notice clips of text. These are called Web Clips and they range news, headlines to a funny quote of day.
To manage your Web Clips, go to your Settings and then Web Clips. The first option allows you to turn Web Clips off or on. Just uncheck the box if you want to up out of web clips all together.
The whole point of Web Clips is to show you news, headlines or links to blog post or information that may interest you. You can customize what sort of information is shown. Here's a list of websites and blogs that my Gmail account is pulling Web Clips from.
There's a cooking site, business week, CNN and so on. If you don’t want to see web clips from certain sites, then just click on Remove. You can also search for Web Clips by entering a topic that interest you and then click on Add next to the websites that you like. You can also browse your web clips by topics like news, business and lifestyle.
Now when you return to your inbox, you'll see Web Clips from sites you care about. You can use the arrows to move forward. You'll see when this story was published and you can click on the link to view the original story.
Remember, there are ten parts to these series so don’t forget to check out the other parts in the Getting Started with Gmail series.
