Now, something very important to tell you. A lot of the players think that there is an almost difference between Tee shots and Fairway shots. Not so, it's really quite simple. I can give you a nice example with my hand like this look. Imagine this is the Tee, teeing area, and this is the actual tee with ball on top.
Now, when you are swing the 3-Wood, you're coming along at the level of the grass like that and then the club rises, catches the tee and the ball like that. There is no real contact with the ground at all see that and the ball just takes off and climbs up to 250 meters perhaps one day and then the Fairway shots, we take the 5-Wood. 5-Wood sitting nicely on the ground like this, club is coming down but this time we purposely go into the grass, not into the ground, into the grass. Like that and the fact that the angle of the club and the nearness of the club on the grass lifts it into air but you don't dig in, you just the brush the grass almost like a ski coming along.
So, here's how you should do it with a tee. You put a tee in the ground like this, and maybe a few at a time, may be take, say 10-tees and just learn not to touch the ground when you're swinging but touch the tee and you will find that tee will come flying out of the ground.
Do that until you make no contact with the tee whatsoever. And all the course secretaries would be very happy because you won't be digging holes in the teeing ground when you're practicing That's very, very good
Now second thing, when you make your Fairway shot, your number 5-Wood do the opposite. Learn to brush. Did you hear that noise? Learn to brush the club along the ground, you here that?
Now, I didn't dig into the ground but I did brush the club along to the ground, here we go, alright! You shouted out half-a-minute ago young lady and you go. I think you've been rescued, haven't you?
So I want some really good shots. Remember you are going tee it, tee out the same way just only inside okay, feet apart a little bit more. Alright, you had a couple of good shots little earlier so do the same thing for me. Just brush the ground beneath the ball, coordination not low enough Ruth and your back swing was a little too fast. Take your time, check your grip, over there a little bit, that's fine, okay now don't forget, brush the grass, easy swing, good. Well done you, you are playing good today.
Good, well I think they are going to need quite a lot of practice with these Woods and you too at home but don't worry because next week we'll be doing recapitulation of the whole lessons.
