John: Ruth, Remi lesson number four, right, coming up. And getting quite exciting, because we are building now into the finish, which is a part of the swing that I particularly, stress when I am teaching. I feel that a good finish is going to be something that's going to help you tremendously, especially today. Because I saw when we were practicing, a little while ago, I saw that you are having a lot of trouble with your transfer. We are talking about the transfer our weight from one foot to the other. Ruth has already got this. She seems to be got that quite naturally.
Okay watch now, weight will come on the right leg, on the back swing. It's got to return to the left on the down swing, and at the end of my swing all the piece that we have learned just till now, all the weight is on the left, and I have very little on the toe here. Okay so watch one more time as I make my little half swing, which is all we have done at the moment. The weight goes on to the right foot okay, and the left knee, it just comes in nicely to the right. Okay now, how easy it is? Return the weight, return the weight and look here, I am nicely on my left foot, and the weight is coming off the right okay.
Remy: Don't you lose your direction when you transfer it?
John: The bigger the swing gets the more you think about, the more you have to do in moment, the more direction you will loose, of course you will. I can hit the ball very straight, if I just do this, but I am not going to win any competitions you see. Okay let's give it a go. Alright practice swing first Remy here, without the ball. We always do a little practice swing first, to get you into the feeling. Not too close, not too close good. Let me see what it looks like. Right, left that's fine, little more stability, good, very good that's it, and again right, left. Okay, but never lose the principle of the right hand finding the ball, okay. Remember natural instinct is got to be there. Okay jolly good, of you go try and hit the ball this time. So that's so right, yes, yes, yes you can hit the ball, right left. Right left.
Remy: I am sorry.
John: It's okay. But the problem there, was much too big.
Remy: I forgot the ball.
John: You forgot the ball, yeah, it's always easy without the ball. Okay one, two much better transfer really good, that's okay you topped it. But it's not a problem.
Remy: No I can't find the ball
John: I know you are going to find it, come on. Super, now do you know what's going wrong? You are getting ambitious again, you are already into week number 8. You have got a full swing there.
Remy: Yeah, yeah.
John: Come on, fourth lesson short swing, little extra transfer okay.
Remy: Yeah, I want to be a champion now.
John: No, well wait a little longer, a bit of patience. Come on, you have got time on your side, short swing. Beautiful whoops! Hey! Listen we don't have a license for dancing here, so don't start dancing. Okay again, just a short swing stay on your balance okay. Stay, that's good, relax that's it, good, that's coming out Ruth well, done, keep it going I'll be over to see you in a minute.
Okay, yeah you are still having a little trouble with the balance. Would you like to watch me a movement just come over here. Look you are going so fast and so strong that you can't stay on balance. It's got to be softer, watch this one, two. See at that speed, I can't fall over. The balance is perfect okay, come on try again for me. Alright is it going alright Ruth?
Ruth: It's fine.
John: Okay one more now. Easy this time, much softer, much softer. That's better good, bravo. The trouble with Remy is like a lot of golfers, they get so encouraged after the first few shots, and it's very hard for me to keep them damp and down. We have got them to a point, where they are enjoying their golf, they are hitting the ball and they get carried away. This is a natural phenomenon, don't worry about it, the pro will be there to help you. So let's carry on practicing we'll be back in just a moment and see how they get going.
