Golf Tips For Beginners
Sean O’Hair, today we’re going to break it down so that you can improve your driving.
While you’re looking at O’Hair swing there are 2 things to keep in mind. One, the angle
of his shoulders going up and down and two the distance of his right arm is from his body
on the down swing. Let’s start with the shoulders. You can see here on the backswing
that the shoulders are in fairly steep angle as the arms and the club work their way up
towards the top. As those arms and clubs come back down we see the shoulders remain
on that very steep angle. This is critical because it helps the arms and the clubs stay on
the proper plane.
As O’Hair works further down into the downswing we can see the right elbow and the
right hips stay very close together. This is critical because it creates a lot of leverage for
the club on the downswing and it helps the club stay on the proper path. O’Hair’s arms
finally extend off his body through impact as he works around towards the finish. If you
want to improve your driving try to keep those shoulders on the same angle going up as
they are coming down and keep that right elbow close to your body so that you can hit it
hard and hit it consistently.
