Hello, everyone welcome to legourmet.tv, so today we’re going to do two cook books by the same author and that is someone that a lot of people love to loath or at absolutely love. And it doesn’t really matter what you think about his guy, which you got to know is that he can cook and that is Gordon Ramsay.
So we’ve got two of his books here. Gordon Ramsay makes it easy and Gordon Ramsay’s Sunday lunch and the Sunday lunch are recipes from a show that is done in UK called the “F Word” and Gordon Ramsay makes it easy. These are fantastically simple recipes that pack a huge amount of flavor. They’re easy to prepare, quick prepare. Don’t use ingredients that are difficult to find and the methods are fairly simple but what you’re getting is a huge amount of flavor. You really got a meal which you can put together in 30 minutes and it’s got flavor beyond anything that you could get in the same amount of time delivered to your home.
And this book Sunday Branch is all they’re getting your family together and eating as a family unit and cooking as a family unit and what that I can do to bring everybody in your household together and to relax and kind of you know talk and just kind of deconstruct for week as it where. So no matter what you think about this guy television persona, no matter what you think about his people skills or his management style.
Once he gets in the kitchen he is really pulling for you. He’s trying to be put out the best food that you can possible get and as a consumer sitting in one his restaurants I think that’s really what I want. I want to know that the guys in there aren’t compromising. The meal it’s going to end up in front of me. It’s the meal that I ordered. It’s the meal that I want it and that really carries over into these two books and I think these are books even though you know I would consider him a celebrity chef these are books that really speak to someone who wants to cook. Who wants to get in the kitchen and try some things in—and Gordon makes it easy.
There’s a whole section in the back dedicated to cooking for two and I think that’s something that is lacking in a lot of cookbooks today. You’re not always in a big family situation. You’re not always four to six people or six to eight people are having a dinner party. Sometimes its just two people and you want to have a good decent meal and you don’t want to have a lot of left over. You want to cook it, you want to eat it and you want to be done with it. You want to be facing it next Tuesday putting it in your lunch bag and taking it to work and I think that this section is something that a lot of people really will get a lot of—. These are two really solid cookbooks and I got to tell I got really excited when I open them up and inside both of them come with the DVD. I think that you’ve throw this DVD on there’s Gordon, cooking up some of the recipes from the books then you can just see the method, the way he would do it and its—as you’ve probably know from watching this website and videos all over the web. Watching it and reading the recipe really compliments each other and that really helps see to understand the method and you know if you don’t understand the terminology the way it’s written down, watching it really helps you get it across and this is a really good edition to these cookbooks.
The one thing that I think was missing, when I watch the DVD is like kind of wish that there was—. It was just an audio portion that I could dive it and put the CD in my player and there be Gordon pushing me and pushing me and pushing me and bringing form the sidelines and pushing me to be better and telling me you know what I was doing wrong and telling me how to make it right. I think that will be a real fun edition and I think even better than that is you know Gordon if you swing into and throw it away anytime in the future give me a call. Stop by, let’s cook something. I’d love to have you push me and show me what I need to be doing in the kitchen to make me a better cook and I think that’s really important. That’s what some cookbook should do is push you to be a better cook and in these two books by Gordon Ramsay you’re going to get it.
So thanks for stopping by. Hope to see you again soon.
