Hi everybody this is Barry Nicholson and on today’s video, we are going to take a look at how to use video in you Facebook fan page. Now when you look at you the tabs in your Facebook fan page you are going to see video there. Now video is an awesome way to promote a spa and I don’t’ think a lot of spa owners really realize the potential there.
Video give you the great opportunity to show your expertise. A lot of spa owners take it for granted that a lot the products and services that you offer─ your current customers even understand what they are, or why they should buy or whether should be of interest to them. Take for instance something microderm abrasion or ionic detoxification. Most of people don’t have the slightest clue what these words even mean and especially why they should part with their money to buy something like this and what benefit it would do them. So video gives you a great opportunity to─when you have a Facebook fan page to say, “Hey, let us make a video, show what microderm abrasion is. Why they would want to have it. Maybe a before and after type of thing and then answer common questions,.” And it’s really nothing more difficult than if you were to give a demonstration in a live setting even right before a potential customer, you would anticipate what question they might ask, what benefits that you would tell them about that it is going to do for them. It’s really nothing more than that and you can put video up there on Facebook just to show everybody what this is all about, and really with so many of the services that you offer, this is something that you could do.
Another great idea would be to do something like makeup demonstrations. If you sell makeup, you sell retail in your spa and you have a makeup artist who is really good, I mean─there is no end to the number of great tips that they could give. Because again really talking about doing three maybe to five-minute videos.
If you are concerned about the equipment, that is the easy part. The quality of the equipment has gone up so much and the prices have gone down. Flip cameras are wonderful. There are these little cameras that are so easy to use, they are just point and shoot. You can put most them on a tripod, the sounds is pretty darn good and just one the key things to remember when you are doing the video is just be concerned about lighting. Make sure the people can see it because it is no fun watching a dark video. So make sure the lighting is okay and then, that the camera does not move around that much. You might want to get a tripod and make is still or at least hold your arm or the person filming you hold you arm there. So something things to think about when you are doing a video. A video is a powerful promotional tool that you can put on your Facebook fan page.
