Grilled Pound Cake Sundaes
Gina: So, we’re going to put these on the plate and Pat, you’re going to
just brush a little butter on these and put them on the grill. Just
until you get the low grill marks, you don’t need to do it for a very
long time, just until the lines form indicate. Make it a look
decorative. We’re going to go ahead and put these on the grill. See
that?
Patrick: Great treat! Wonderful!
Gina: And then you can brush them again. Brush it, good job. We
essentially want it to look like that, okay? Pat, you look after these
two. We’re going to go ahead and get the rest and make the syrup
ready.
Now, I made this raspberry syrup earlier and it’s turning out
nicely. I took three cups of pureed raspberries, one tablespoon
lemon juice, added six tablespoons of sugar, two tablespoons
raspberry jelly and let it simmer.
Patrick: What was that?
Gina: Oh! The lines are perfect. Good job sweetie, good job.
Patrick: I did it!
Gina: You did it. So, why don’t you go ahead and get the ice cream.
Patrick: Now, we’re talking girl.
Gina: You cut it into cubes. You need to split it in the bottom and Pat’s
going to get ice cream out with my favorite scoop. I’m a pink lady,
how cute is that? Just scoop me some out and I’m going to get the
raspberry syrup. That’s going to round this right on up. How about
two scoops? Maybe three, let’s see.
Patrick: Is this mine?
Gina: Is that his?
Patrick: I think it’s just right, is that good?
Gina: You want to add this syrup on it, yes. How cute is that? You can
add some nuts to it for garnish. We have pecans or you can have
coconut flakes. I would like nuts.
Patrick: I know you love nuts. Get that cake, just the way I eat it. See how I
get that cake?
Gina: That completes our meal.
Patrick: It’s fantastic! Fantastic!
