Groom Takes Bride's Last Name

We’ve seen a countless times at countless wedding receptions. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Mr. and Mrs. His last name. The patriotic breathe a sigh of relief. Everyone cheers in the buffet is officially open. Well, times change and more and more often last names don’t. These days women struggle with the multitude of choices. Keep your old name, hyphenate and go to the traditional route and often spend here is justifying those choices. Ladies, you are no longer alone.

According to U.S. database, a Seattle couple cost marriage mass mayhem when the groom became Mr. Bride. And in California, the ACLU recently sponsor the bill that would allow men to take department’s last names at seem as if women can.

Currently, there are only seven states in which a man can easily change his name after marriage rather than going through an expensive legal process although not enough of a cultural phenomenon yet to be the subject of women studies dissertations. That trend seems to be growing. If this keeps up, I look forward to hearing I now pronounce you women and fixes.
