Okay, so next with a song with harmonics. We are going to try tap on them. Now this one definitely you want to try it on an electric guitar. And we will make sure that you use the bridge pick up. You know the back pick up on your guitar because harmonics are always better picked up with that pick up frankly enough. Great pick up things, okay. Okay, so you probably you want a bit of distortion as well that will help draw the harmonic out and make kind of clear?
First or I will just show you one of ____, you get the idea? What we got to, I am going to use is just an Am, pentatonic scale, maybe a bit of a blues style as well.
And what I am going to do is tap, now I am going to us middle finger to be the tapping one because that rather can usually, I can hold the pick with the thumb and first finger and then I can tap with the middle finger when I do not have a pick. Just enough so I am just going leave those, the hand open.
Now the is this, you will find again the note here, which is the note A, 5th fret, 6th string and I will give a tap to what exactly 12 frets above it. You can hear it, harmonic. (Music of the guitar overlapping)
So by tapping it, I am going to get this octave effects so I can just (Guitar sound)
Okay, so, general, I have really a little bit of close up on the right hand and I will show you how to do it. Okay, so, the thing to remember when you are doing this type, you see the hand is very loose. Very, very relaxed, once the note is done with the left hand, you want to make sure that you tap right on the fret, not behind the fret or in the middle of the fret but right on. (Guitar sound)
That is going to play out the first part of the monetary tone scales. So you can see I am typing here just 12 frets above the notes that my left hand will be playing. So, (Guitar sound)
Okay, so, once you got the technique right finger or the right-hand-tap harmonics. Again, it is important that you learned through experiment and try a few different keys at a few different scales. It works just as well with the major scales and the pentatonic scale. Just be very aware that you also have to try and keep as many of your strings covered as you can because it is very with this if your hand the strings lightly t an open string and get lots of
