Hi, I am Bob from Toronto, Canada. This guitar lesson is about how to play “California Girls” by the Beach Boys. Start with something preposition, The top string B, that is E.
[Demonstration]
And then its B.
[Demonstration]
And you play this notes E, E#, B, C#, and you get.
[Demonstration]
E, B, E, E#, B, C#,
[Demonstration]
Do that four times and move it down to the fifth preposition. An A little to the top,
[Demonstration]
D, A, then you put the notes D, C#, A, C# for the bass line. You want to throw it in to the VII fret top string.
[Demonstration]
F#, G#, F#,
[Demonstration]
Do the chords for the Verse are B,
[Demonstration]
And it is A with the B bass line.
[Demonstration]
And the way you play that chord is second string, V fret; third string, VI fret; fourth string, II fret and the top string, VII fret.
[Demonstration]
And then it is E.
[Demonstration]
And then it is F#.
[Demonstration]
Then you are going to add the -- the way you do that is the second string, IV fret. Do it right there.
[Demonstration]
And just lift your finger, pinkie finger.
[Demonstration]
Once again, first beat.
[Demonstration]
A/B,
[Demonstration]
E,
[Demonstration]
F#,
[Demonstration]
For the Chorus is B,
[Demonstration]
C#m7,
[Demonstration]
A.
[Demonstration]
Em7.
[Demonstration]
G,
[Demonstration]
Am7.
[Demonstration]
And B,
[Demonstration]
And then we repeat the Verse again. Now to get the notes in the keyboard notes,
[Demonstration]
You want to throw in as well. Let us play that the VII fret, top string.
[Demonstration]
Second string; VII fret and IX fret,
[Demonstration]
So once again,
[Demonstration]
And then it is at the top bottom string IX fret.
[Demonstration]
And the same two notes on the second string.
[Demonstration]
So once again,
[Demonstration]
And the song repeats and fades with the following chords B,
[Demonstration]
C#m7,
[Demonstration]
And so on.
I hope this lesson has been helpful and if you have any questions. Please message me.
