Hi! I am Bob from Toronto, Canada. This video is about how to play an easy Jimmy Page guitar solo. The solo from “Heart Full of Soul” by The Yardbirds, this song was also played by Rush with the exact same guitar solo on their CD called Feedback. I will play the solo once with a backing guitar track, and then I will explain how to play the solo note for note. Here it goes.
[Guitar Demonstration]
Solo starts with an open 4th string D note, hence the 3rd string 7th fret played twice and the 5th fret, 7th fret slide up to the 9th fret and 7th fret, the 5th fret, 7th fret, 5th fret, once again slowly and that is played twice.
Then it moves up to the 10th fret position 4th string 12th fret, play it twice, 3rd string 10th fret, 12th fret, 10th fret and back to the 4th string 12th fret. So, that part is once again then it is once again 4th string 12th fret play it twice, 3rd string 10th fret, 12th fret bend it up, then the 2nd string 13th fret then 10th fret on the 1st string. So once again, that part and then it is 4th string 12th fret played twice, 3rd string 10th fret, 12th, 10th, 4th string 12th fret. So, once again and then it is 11th fret on the 4th string and twice on the 12th fret, 3rd string 10th fret, 12th, 10th, and the last three notes the 12th fret 3rd string bent up. Once again that part and that is the solo. So, once again I will just play it again slowly.
[Guitar Demonstration]
Now, if you want to play along the solo, I will play the backing guitar track. Here is my A note if you want to tune to my guitar. Alright here it goes 1, 2, 3, 4.

And that is the solo. Well, I hope this lesson has been helpful and I have a guitar lesson website with over 50 videos on it. It is www.bobsguitarlesson.50megs.com. Thanks for watching.
