Hi, I am Bob from Toronto, Canada. This guitar lesson is about how to play, How to play an intro to You Shoot Me from Minds Up in One. It is easy enough for beginners to learn. I will first play the solo and then I will show how it is played note for note.
The original recording is played on a slide, that I will show how to play it with just using your fingers. Here it goes.
[Demonstration]
Start off at the second string, XVII fret slide up to it.
[Demonstration]
Play it twice. So, it is.
[Demonstration]
Then it is the second string, XV fret.
[Demonstration]
Start it to as well.
[Demonstration]
Then do the XII fret; second string.
[Demonstration]
Then to the third string, XIV fret slide up to that as well.
[Demonstration]
And to the XII fret.
[Demonstration]
And to the XIV fret on the fourth string.
[Demonstration]
Slide it down like that and then its back to the XVII fret on the second string, play it twice and slide to it.
[Demonstration]
XV fret.
[Demonstration]
XVII fret.
[Demonstration]
XV fret.
[Demonstration]
Both fret.
[Demonstration]
XIV fret on the third string.
[Demonstration]
XII fret on the second string.
[Demonstration]
XIV fret on the third string.
[Demonstration]
And slide up to the XII fret on the third string.
[Demonstration]
Then the play fourth, third, and second strings at the IX fret.
[Demonstration]
And then play it then again one at the time.
[Demonstration]
That is the fourth string.
[Demonstration]
Third string,
[Demonstration]
And the second string,
[Demonstration]
The IX fret and let him ring.
[Demonstration]
And it is the VIII fret on the second the string.
[Demonstration]
Then it is the third string, X fret, then the note up.
[Demonstration]
And to the IX fret on the third string.
[Demonstration]
Fall off to the VIII fret.
[Demonstration]
And to the IX fret again.
[Demonstration]
So it is.
[Demonstration]
Then play the XII fret at the fourth, third, and second strings.
[Demonstration]
And you slide to the fourth fret and play the same three strings without really putting the strings there.
[Demonstration]
Just let it ring up so.
[Demonstration]
Slide down to the II fret, same strings and back up to the IV fret. So it is you get it all in there.
[Demonstration]
With that, so once again, slowly,
[Demonstration]
That is the solo. Maybe a good idea to have the toggle switch in the up position, bass cushion and the treble knob set to zero, to get the basis’ sound.
