Hi! I am Bob from Toronto, Canada. This lesson is about how to play the guitar solo from “Tangerine” by Led Zeppelin, and it is easy enough for a beginner guitarist to play. I will first play the solo with a backing guitar track. And I will explain the solo note for note.
[Guitar Demonstration]
The solo is played on just the two bottom strings. So, you start with the 2nd string 10th fret, and 13th fret, and the 1st string 10th fret and 12th fret, back to the 10th fret so that part is played as --
[Guitar Demonstration]
And the 2nd string 13th fret a bit of a pause there with the 12th fret and then you bend it up at the 13th fret and down to the 12th fret and then it is --
[Guitar Demonstration]
And that is the 12th fret 13th fret, the 1st string 10th fret, and then it is a pull off at the 12th fret and 10th fret.
[Guitar Demonstration]
And then to the 13th fret and the 10th fret 1st string, and just turn back again.
[Guitar Demonstration]
And then it is at the 15th fret on the 1st string bend up, and just play the note at the 15th fret 1st string then you go up to the 19th fret and the 17th fret, and 17th, 19th, 20th and bend up to the last note, so one more time.
[Guitar Demonstration]
Now, try it playing the solo along with my guitar and I will play the chords on the acoustic guitar. If you want to tune to my guitar, this is the A string, I will do it again. Okay, here it goes 1, 2, 3, 4.
[Guitar Demonstration]
Well, I hope this lesson has been helpful, and here is my guitar lesson website with over 50 videos on it www.bobsguitarlesson.50megs.com. Bye for now.
