Hi, I am Bob from Toronto, Canada. This guitar lesson is about how to play “Good Times, Bad Times” by Led Zeppelin.
Starts off at the VII fret position, it is the E chord. So, that be like the fifth string, VII fret and extremes are on the IX fret. And the top open string as well. So, that is,
[Demonstration]
You play it five times.
[Demonstration]
Next is the main riff which is played like,
[Demonstration]
The way you that is play it is the same chord as the beginning E chord.
[Demonstration]
Then slide that down, the same pattern, slide it down two frets to the D position. So, you play the fifth string, V fret;
[Demonstration]
Fourth string, VII fret;
[Demonstration]
Third string, VII fret;
[Demonstration]
Fourth string, VII fret;
[Demonstration]
Third string, VII fret;
[Demonstration]
Fourth string, VII fret;
[Demonstration]
Then to the fifth string, V fret;
[Demonstration]
Fourth string, IV fret;
[Demonstration]
VII fret;
[Demonstration]
And to the fifth string, IV fret. Again, give a vibrato there.
[Demonstration]
V fret;
[Demonstration]
VI fret.
[Demonstration]
So, once again.
[Demonstration]
Play that six times and just the chords of the Chorus which is A;
[Demonstration]
G;
[Demonstration]
D;
[Demonstration]
A;
[Demonstration]
G;
[Demonstration]
D;
[Demonstration]
Then it is B;
[Demonstration]
A;
[Demonstration]
E;
[Demonstration]
And B.
[Demonstration]
Into the middle riff which is played at as an F# power chord. That is a top string, II fret; fifth string, IV fret; play it twice;
[Demonstration]
And as to the middle two strings, middle two strings XI fret.
[Demonstration]
Pull off to the middle two strings to IX fret;
[Demonstration]
And back to XI fret.
[Demonstration]
Then slide down to the again, the middle two strings, IV fret.
[Demonstration]
Pull off to the II fret, middle two strings.
[Demonstration]
Do that twice.
[Demonstration]
So once again, that little riff slowly.
[Demonstration]
Puts up the regular speed,
[Demonstration]
You play that riff eight times. Then, it goes to the Chorus which is played one full tone higher than the first time, starts at B;
[Demonstration]
A;
[Demonstration]
E;
[Demonstration]
B;
[Demonstration]
A;
[Demonstration]
E;
[Demonstration]
C#, which in the IX fret position;
[Demonstration]
D;
[Demonstration]
F#;
[Demonstration]
And C#.
[Demonstration]
And for the first guitar solo, once I show the solo in this real patch, you play the background E chord;
[Demonstration]
D;
[Demonstration]
A.
[Demonstration]
So, it is.
[Demonstration]
Like that. You play that Eight times. Then it goes back to the Chorus again. Starts at A;
[Demonstration]
G;
[Demonstration]
D;
[Demonstration]
A;
[Demonstration]
G;
[Demonstration]
D;
[Demonstration]
Then, B;
[Demonstration]
A;
[Demonstration]
E;
[Demonstration]
And B.
[Demonstration]
Then the song ends with the first riff which is,
[Demonstration]
And that is plays over and until the songs fades.
