Hi! I am Bob from Toronto, Canada. This guitar lesson is about how to play “Electric Funeral” by Black Sabbath from the Paranoid album cover. This song is made up of seven riffs and I will show how to play them one at a time. Okay riff number one is --
[Guitar Demonstration]
That is played top string open and the 5th string 2nd fret, 3rd fret, 2nd fret open on the top string. 2nd fret, 3rd fret and 2nd fret and once again riff number one.
[Guitar Demonstration]
Riff number two that is played with the top string open four times then the 5th string 2nd fret, 1st fret open then the top string 3rd fret. Once again riff number two.
[Guitar Demonstration]
Riff number three is an E power chord at the 7th fret like so, and it is an E power chord 7th fret and play the top string too at the 7th fret, on the 6th fret then 5th fret, and that is played five times.
Okay, riff number four is E power chord and slide down to 5th fret D, then back the 7th E then you play the bottom four strings at the 12th fret so you strum it six times. So, once again riff number four.
[Guitar Demonstration]
Riff number five is at the 4th string 14th fret, 3rd string 12th fret, 14th fret, 12th fret and slide up to 16th and then it is 14th fret again on the 4th string, 12th fret 3rd string, 14th fret, 16th and 12th fret. So, once again riff number five slowly.
[Guitar Demonstration]
Riff number six is played at the bottom string 12th fret and the 2nd string 15th fret bends up, and that is played when you are singing ‘electric funeral”.
[Guitar Demonstration]
Finally, riff number seven that is played at the 2nd string 3rd fret, and 3rd string 5th fret bends up that is played three times, and move it up to the 2nd string 5th fret, and the 3rd string 7th fret then slide you slide the 3rd string up to the 15th fret like that. Then once again it is at the 3rd fret and move up to the 5th fret. So, once again riff number seven.
And I will give you a list of the riffs and how they are played in what order. So it is played with riff number 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 3, 4, 5, 4, 5, 6, 7 turns back to 1, 2, 1 and the song page with number 2.
