Hi, I am Bob from Toronto, Canada. This guitar lesson is about how to play the introduction to Roundabout by Yes. Starts off at the XII fret, sixth string harmonic,
[Demonstration]
Then to the bottom three strings, XII fret in harmonics.
[Demonstration]
And to the second string, XII fret.
[Demonstration]
And to the X fret.
[Demonstration]
And hammer on and off at XI fret.
[Demonstration]
Then third string; XII fret,
[Demonstration]
XI fret,
[Demonstration]
And second string, X fret.
[Demonstration]
And do the harmonic with XII fret, sixth string.
[Demonstration]
Harmonics the XII fret bottom three strings in.
[Demonstration]
And do the second string, XII fret.
[Demonstration]
X fret.
[Demonstration]
Then hammer on and off XI fret.
[Demonstration]
And back to the third string, XII fret.
[Demonstration]
XI fret,
[Demonstration]
And to the fourth string, IX fret.
[Demonstration]
And hammer on to the X fret.
[Demonstration]
And the XII fret, hammer on.
[Demonstration]
So, it is,
[Demonstration]
Then to the fifth string, IX fret.
[Demonstration]
And hammer on the X.
[Demonstration]
And XII,
[Demonstration]
And so, it is,
[Demonstration]
And to the sixth string, VIII fret.
[Demonstration]
And harmonic at the sixth string, XII fret.
[Demonstration]
The bottom three strings, XII fret harmonics.
[Demonstration]
And to the second string, XII fret.
[Demonstration]
X fret.
[Demonstration]
Hammer on and off to XI,
[Demonstration]
Third string; XII fret,
[Demonstration]
XI fret,
[Demonstration]
Second string; X fret,
[Demonstration]
Then back to the XI fret, third string.
[Demonstration]
So, I will play that part.
[Demonstration]
Then, the next part is at I fret position. You play the open fourth string and the bottom string, II fret at the same time.
[Demonstration]
And to the III fret, first string.
[Demonstration]
Then the II fret.
[Demonstration]
Hammer on to the III fret.
[Demonstration]
And pull off the II fret.
[Demonstration]
And pull off for the open.
[Demonstration]
And to the second string, III fret.
[Demonstration]
So that part again all together. Play it slowly,
[Demonstration]
And to the third string, V fret and you play the open bottom string at the same time.
[Demonstration]
And to the III fret, second string.
[Demonstration]
Then to the I fret; second string.
[Demonstration]
An open the second string,
[Demonstration]
So, that part is play like this,
[Demonstration]
And to the II fret, fifth string and the same time, you play this second string, III fret.
[Demonstration]
So it is an open on the second string.
[Demonstration]
And play the fifth string open. You are in Am chord position like this. So, fifth string, open at the same time. Play the second string, I fret.
[Demonstration]
Then the third string; II fret,
[Demonstration]
Then to the sixth string, III fret. Then play the open second string.
[Demonstration]
At the same time, so it is,
[Demonstration]
Then open third string.
[Demonstration]
Then to the II fret on the sixth string, and II fret on the third string.
[Demonstration]
And that is it. So, that part play again is like.
[Demonstration]
I play it one more time slowly.
[Demonstration]
And that is the introduction to Roundabout by Yes. And for the ending, it is the same exact the same thing.
[Demonstration]
But the last chord is an E, the fourth preposition. So, it is play it open string on VI fret top string.
[Demonstration]
So open string at the top then fifth string, VII fret; fourth string, VI fret; third string, IV fret; second string, V fret; and bottom string, IV fret.
[Demonstration]
I hope this lesson has been helpful and thanks for watching.
