Hi! I am Bob from Toronto, Canada. This guitar lesson is about finger picking.
As an exercise of that you can do to practice your finger picking. First, you should have a little bit of nail at the end of your fingers. This will help grab the strings better. Second, the guitar should be on an angle like this, and not parallel to the ground, like this. It is easier to pick the strings when the guitar is on an angel. Third, your wrist should be straight like this and not bent like this.
Okay, for these exercises I will be playing with the D chord which is this, and the first exercise is ascending notes like this [Guitar Demonstration]. Practice each exercise a few times until you are comfortable with it.
The second exercise is the ascending and descending.
[Guitar Demonstration]
The third exercise is a combination of ascending and descending like this.
[Guitar Demonstration]
Now, the fourth one is a little harder. This has a pick playing two strings.
[Guitar Demonstration]
I will play it slowly first. This is it.
[Guitar Demonstration]
And this is how it sounds a little faster.
[Guitar Demonstration]
Okay, now be sure to be practicing with other chords like CM, AM, EM, and GM.
I hope this lesson has been helpful, and if you have any questions please message me.
