Hi! I am Bob from Toronto, Canada. This lesson is an introduction to the rock blues scale. The rock blues scale is the same thing, but how you play it makes the difference between rock and blues. The rock blues scale in the key of A, 5th position.
Here it is. Top string, 5th fret, 8th fret. Next string, 5th fret, 7th. Next string, 5th, 7th. Next string, 5th, 7th. Next string 5th, 8th. Next 5th, 8th. Now, the same key but at the 2nd fret position.
Starting at the top string 3rd fret, 5th. Next string, 3rd, 5th. Next string, 2nd, 5th. Next string 2nd fret, 5th. Next string 3rd, 5th fret. The bottom string 3rd, 5th fret.
And now, in the key of A still, but at the 12th fret position this is at fifth string, this is the second one down, 12th fret, 15th. Next string, 12th, 14th. Next string 12th, 14th fret. Next string 13th, 15th fret.
