Gary has a question regarding his system and also whether I should go with hard drives in a RAID 0 configuration or drives or a couple of those in the RAID 0.
Well I would personally go within what I’ve had gone with if you want to save a few bucks now if you have tons money, go with the solid state drive because they will be faster overall. But well I went with was a couple of Western Digital Plextor Raptor hard drives and those are in the RAID 0 configuration, really performing exceptionally. Well, so that’s what I would go with there. Again, solid state drives are extremely expensive and the capacities are low.
Now, your—you also listen to your computer system on a few comments on that. You’re going with an core i7 975. You could probably go with a cheaper CPU, an overclocked at a 920. The board is great either you’re going with an 80GX 58 classified board. Going with 6GB of course your memory, I could also just suggest going with Crucial memory. You’re going with 3EVGA GTX 285 2GB video cards, that is wonderful. You could also go with two GTX 295, that’s by—You are also adding an EVGA 9800 ATX port physics, that’s fine. Creative X-Fi Sound blaster, that is okay. You could also consider Azentek, they have some sound cards. You’re going with the SilverStone 1200W power supply, that is okay. You can also consider the ENERMAX Revolution85+ power supply. The—I think it’s a 1050W model and that’s the model that actually I’m using as well. A Western Digital drive for backup, go on terabyte, that’s fine and the rest of it’s—it’s okay, you’re going with the custom water cooling as well. So there you have it. That’s my opinions on, on that.
I hope that answers your question and keep your questions coming.
