HP MediaSmart Connect Part 3 of 3 - Unboxing
Okay, let’s have a look at music. Let’s have a look at, and graze it by artist. Now, make sure I got connected here on my laptop and of course to my media center PC. Okay, so I think about it, it’s actually done, and I want to double check this. I think it’s probably in content here from, as well as a lot being from my wife collection on the media center machine on mine as well. So, which is interesting, because rather than, I said before, rather than that kind of one to one connection, it’s now fully content from different devices. I got a laptop here, there’s a couple of media center machines, I promise you that apart from giving the Barbara Streisand stuff, but definitely nothing to do with me. So that’s a nice way you can have media serve on different machines and being all together, and so, I quite like that, that’s a nice idea. One thing I’ve notice is that the, the paging is a little slower as you’re going down to the, to the menu. So it’s fine if you’re on the menu, part of the menu, the one at the top, but when you go down, you got a delay at the pages to the network, but you can do favorites and you can do search as well. So I think that would, that would help. So if I’m going to do get all that, let’s choose on island, hit the red button to play and that’s playing right now. Couple we do, we can shuffle to a degree. That shuffles on. So next we can I think the next track. So I like that, that’s a nice user interface to music, I just hit the media button on the control now, and let’s see what’s it done. So it carries on playing, so while we can now go to photos, and have a look on photos. Stop using that. So we can build playlist, and this are kind of things you can do in music, but I really like the idea that the music so cool. And let’s have a look at videos. So this is now quality network for videos and I guess there’s going to be quite a lot here. So we got some excellent videos that we’ll play. That’s pretty good. Using the ultra stream down, so it’s an excellent video direct to the unit. Pretty good though. We can also stream recorded TV directly to it as well. I just see that the recorded TV shows up in the browser as well. So we can hit and try and watch recorded TV files and there you go, so that’s the recorded TV. Pretty good, really. So you don’t have to go into media center to do it. Although I still I think I would prefer the media center UI for recorded TV, but it’s good for by pulling video for to one location. Well, let’s have a look at some of the other stuff, so we’ll look at photos, and music, online media, I can’t show you some in US only. Let’s have a look at what’s up in here, packet media drive USB, so this is the text. I got the USB stick hook in via phone so I can go in then have a look. And the nice thing about this, of course, is that somebody’s got a USB stick files on, you can just plug it in front and you got that content straight on to the TV, so I can do a slide show of videos, as well as photos and you see some photos on this stick. So, also on there, you can play video content on there, music, and so on, so quick look what else we got on here. So we have a podcast on there, it’s an mp3 file, we can stop playing that. And we can play that straight from the USB stick, so that’s pretty nice. And it goes when I go back to media center, hit that. So that’s it for this demonstration of the HP Media smart kit. I really like the unit. It’s a nice unit, very compact. I just leave the network in from there, so I will set the wireless off. I like the remote as well, I think the remote’s pretty nice, it’s a multi function remote. So, I’m going to check that out, but you can select different types of device, and actually you can control the TV and the DVD. So I think it’s some kind of lady remote, but I will get that more in the video. Check that price details leaflet in the shout out. Also, don’t forget to check in the shout out links from the webinar that I’ll be doing on the HP media smart connect, so if you got any question, just email me in the DigitalLifestyle.com, I shall be using this device for a few days now, just to see how I get on with it, work out over the wireless. Thanks for watching this video, bye.
