Host: There is lots of job seeking as out there right now, can you give some tips on how they can really diversify their resumes so that they can show that they are broad based employees.
Rickert If you’re trying to shape your card all you need to understand first of all compensation is not on the criteria for getting a fulfilling job. You have to see, look to an organization which has certain core values which are aligned to your principles that when you come in you can feel comfortable at your working environment that respects you and you can find a place that you feel comfortable.
You have to look at organizations which are progressive. So therefore, in seeking a job it is a very important process, not just make compensation. It has to be based on the core values of an organization. If you look at a person who work with those organization, what examples are provided into the outside world.
So one of our main—building or in foundation for example is an excellent job there. So you have to look at on organization from many, many dimensions before you make that choice. And that speed up with job changes, you have to understand a particular environment, am I going to be just standing in one area, do I have many opportunities. We have to look across group. We have the insurance business, we have capital markets, we have corporate banking, we have retail banking, we have IT, we have a whole lot of areas that employees can find themselves fulfilled. Granted this is not as easy as so that you’re going to move across different units but at least the opportunity is there and we encourage you. That’s why we make sure that we make—spend so much time on our learning strategy. We want you to make sure that when that time come, you havean opportunity to move.
Interviewer: Could you give some interviewing techniques for persons who want to nail an interview?
Interviewee: First of all, they have to present themselves in a manner. They’re dressed properly, not that they have suit and tie but you have appropriate dress. You have to make sure that you convince interviewer that you understand what you’re talking about, not around being able to get to the point. You also make sure that you research the organization that you’re going to work for or you hope to work for, at least you can conduct intelligent discussion during the interview process. You have to bring a passion for the area that you want to get involved.
So those are some things that I think that you’re recruiter need, you need to understand. And of course, that can take place by just doing research on the organization. You need to show what value you can add and not just a whole resume lettered pass experiences. You need to convince me what value you’re going to add to national commercial bank. Do you I need to choose you or choose applicant B. So the whole process of adding value, because there’s only two things again to add, either add value or destroy value.
