Here we are with a quick hard drive review of the HTC Touch HD. One of the first things that you recognize about this phone is the large 3.8-inch touch screen and which runs a resolution of 800x480 pixels. The dimensions of the phone are 150 millimeters tall, 62.8 millimeters wide and just 12 millimeters thick, so you see that’s really, really quite a thin phone.
And when you first put the phone to your hand, it feels well built and it’s a little bit large because its handset obviously is something bigger than we’ve got. Then we used the joystick, let’s look at to what else the phone has on the outside. On the left side here, we can see that there’s a rocky switch. This is use for navigating up and down menus, but mostly used for antenna of the volume and down the volume on specific applications.
On the bottom of the phone, there is a micro USB port connecting the phone to your PC as well as charging the phone when it requires that. On the right hand side of the phone, you can see that it’s pretty flat. And there’s not really much on the side except for the stylish. This is the stand of the stylish here and which is used mostly for when you’re surfing internet or transcribing, but it’s not really needed that much. It has some magnetic and connection here so when you push it, it stays in so you don’t lose the style as easily as you would on some other phones.
On the back of the phone here, you’ll see that there’s the five megapixel camera. Now, the five megapixel camera eventhough it looks quite impressive on the face of it, it doesn’t have a flash. So in low light, it really just stroke and that a flash is something I really would like to see. And just on the outside of the housing here, you’ll see a little grill and this grill is the speaker for where the sound will come out for when you’re
playing audio without your headphones.
And the back of the phone here, it feels like almost like a soft rubbery feel and which is quite nice, so I will do like this. On the front of the phone, you’ll see that there is a camera here for video conferencing. It’s not something that you use. Also, there are four buttons which are flashed with the phone and they provide and have to feedback. They are actually a flash and they are all touch buttons. So, this one is for answering calls, this one is for going to the home screen and this is one is for going back to the previous screen that you run. And this one is for rejecting any calls which you received or putting down when you finished after speaking on a call. Let’s have a quick look inside of the phone. I’m just going to click the back off here. Inside of the phone, there’s a battery which I expect is about three.
Okay, this is where your sim card will go. This is where your micro US and micro SD card goes and this red button here is to reset the phone. It doesn’t reset it. In fact to the factory resetting as it doesn’t wipe all your data off as we’ve tried but it does actually reset most of the settings on your phone. So there, we have a quick hard drive review of the HTC Touch HD.
