Male Speaker: Hair restoration specialist Dr. Craig Ziering has brought a brand new laser with him to treat Lacey stinging hair. So I hear some beeping going on, talk to me about what this laser is doing.
Dr. Craig Ziering: Well, this is Revage670, and what this is doing is it's rotating 30 diodes in here and this light is coming down and giving full coverage over her entire scalp right now.
Male Speaker: So can we look at a still of a hair cell, so you can show us what this is actually doing at that follicle level?
Dr. Craig Ziering: Absolutely! What you see there is the energy is being absorbed by that hair follicle, that light stimulates the energy which stimulates cell metabolism and it also increases blood flow so that the cells can allow the hairs to grow thicker and fuller.
Male Speaker: So it basically allows an environment for the hair cell or the follicle to thrive?
Dr. Craig Ziering: Yes, absolutely.
Male Speaker: So are you noticing anything in there? Are you feeling anything?
Lacey: I am feeling it burn.
Dr. Craig Ziering: Do you feel any grow?
Lacey: Yes -- no.
Dr. Craig Ziering: It actually is a cool laser, so she really shouldn't feel any heat or anything happening with regard to that. It's all happening at the via photo stimulation at the molecular level.
Male Speaker: So how many treatments might she need before she sees an effect from this?
Dr. Craig Ziering: She can see result in as little as 4 to 16 weeks. Our patients at Advanced Hair Growth centers, what we do is we give patients a full year of treatment. They'd come 2 to 3 times a week and it's 20 minutes at a time.
Male Speaker: And how much – what is your treatment fee?
Dr. Craig Ziering: It's somewhere between $3000 to $5000.
Male Speaker: So let's say, she gets the year's treatment, and then Lacey at the end of the year, says, okay, I don't want to do this anymore. Will she maintain or is it something that this laser doesn't need to be used for the rest of her life?
Dr. Craig Ziering: Yeah, I mean it's kind of like exercising or working out, she won't have to come as often but just like exercising, you want to have some kind of maintenance program and we offer that for our patients. Sometimes it's once a month, once every three months and other people come because they are like hanging out with us at the office and come once every couple of weeks.
Male Speaker: Well, we actually have a before and after photo of a woman name Shelly, who use this very same Revage670 machine, and it's a pretty impressive difference. And Lacey, I want to introduce you to Shelly because she is here in our audience. Shelly, thank you so much for being here.
So what has this done for your confidence?
Shelly: It's build my confidence definitely. I had major hair shedding. I have the white tile floor, I'd see hair all over the place after a shower, and after washing my hair and after about 4 to 6 months of treatment under the Revage laser, my hair was starting to grow back. I'd see lots of little hairs coming up at the top of it and my hair is growing a lot faster and probably twice as fast as normal.
Male Speaker: So you are basically giving hope to Lacey, right?
Shelly: Yeah, definitely. You are a beautiful woman and it will work, you just have to be patient, and that's one thing that I learned is patience, because it happened a lot faster than I thought it would though, and now I continue to maintain it occasionally once a month, and I am really happy with the results.
Lacey: I have been patient for 6 years. So I'll be okay.
Male Speaker: Remember, how we say, we brought you here for a reason. So the folks that are peer of science have agreed to give you a year's worth of treatment.
Lacey: Thank you.
Male Speaker: She is going to get these treatment at the Central Ohio Skin Laser Center and we also have a gift of makers of the HairMax Laser Comb, so this is actually a portable unit that isn't -- I don't think quite as robust as the laser Revage, but you can use this at home in the privacy, on your own bedroom.
Lacey: Oh! Awesome. Thank you!
Male Speaker: I want to thank Dr. Ziering and especially to Lacey for sharing your story, okay.
Lacey: Thank you so much.
Dr. Craig Ziering: Oh! My pleasure.
Male Speaker: We wish you the best of luck. If you want more information on Female Hair Loss, go to our website thedoctorstv.com.
