Hi! And welcome to a fishing knot instruction video from videofishingknots.com. In this video I will show you how to tie a half blood knot, also called a clinch knot. You start out by pulling the line through the eyelet of the hook, like this and pull the line so you have something to work with and now you twist the end tag over the standing part five times. So that was 1, and 2, and 3, and 4, and 5 and now you will end up with a twisted line and then here by the eyelet of the hook, you will have a little loop. If you twist a line a little bit the other way, you can see that you have little loop down there and then what you do is that you take the end tag and you put it through that loop, like this and then you grab the end tag and now you pull the standing part and the end tag and that way you will form a half blood knot. It's a little tricky with this normal line, but it will easier with ordinary fishing line and you can also pull the knot, hold it a little bit with your thumb and your index finger like that and once it's all the way down to the eyelet of the hook, you will have a perfect half blood knot.
