Jennifer Perkins: This is one spiderlicious Jack O Lantern and my secret is all about the template. We’re going to learn everything you need to know about template so you can create customizes Jack O Lantern but all kinds of cool things are in monograms. Right now, let me show you a few template basics, I have a couple here that I printed out myself. You can find this all over the internet but I need to get this image onto my pumpkin so I know exactly where my carving lines will go. And there is a couple of different options for these. One of which is using a sheet of carving paper, now this has a side without the carbon and a side with the carbon. Tape my carbon paper down to my pumpkin, next take my picture of the Jack O Lantern face, and tape it on top of there. Just trace right over it with a ballpoint pen and then it would transfer the carbon onto my pumpkin and in that way I would know exactly where I needed to do all my carving. Another option is to do scoring which basically means the kind a poke little holes into your pumpkins so have an outline for what is this that’s you’re going to carve.
And there is a couple different ways to do that. If you are into manicures you might happen to have a little orange stick around. Same thing you would just to go down and you were just poke little holes with your orange stick so that you would know where you were going to cut. Another really cool tool is, these little tracing wheels if you go to the stores you know the grocery store is going to have this. You can buy this little pumpkin carving kits and they’re going to come with this wheel a little baby wheel. See how expense? And the new just bare down and this is doing all the scoring for you making at really easy and then I can go back end of my carving tools, carve that baby up exactly like I want it. Always wanted to see your name in light will now that you know your template basics, we can make that happen for you, like instance if your name Smith or Jones or Mobley, or Perkins or whatever it maybe. You can get that name onto a pumpkin really easily.
Now using the same concept you could use say, three little pumpkins and spell out of word if you had the short name or a short little stand like bop. All you are going to do is print out the letters again same thing, use your little tracing wheel and then you just shape the pumpkins so you get that nice glowing effect to get there to spell out your word. Got an other options over here, Mr. Jumbo, I think it appropriate in that giant letter J if your asking me, I like that one best. Very cool and it kind a looks like a formal pumpkin if you will I like that about it. Over here we just printed up a picture of little kid and then we used that as our profile template, same thing put it on there traced out and then not put with use to carving. Let’s get a picture of your little on there, that’s pretty name customize. So now that you know all my tips and tricks and all my secrets you can go out there and you got to make me proud. And not only have a very Happy Halloween but a customize Halloween as well.
