Hanging Beer Opening Trick in Flair Bartending
Hi, I'm Moe Harris and I’m at the locker room in Orange, Virginia showing you some basic flair bartending techniques and now went to another way to open up a beer with flair okay. Again, the way most bartenders open beer which is fine, is taking the bottle opener and pop on the top off okay. We’re going to do that a little bit differently. We’re going to take that bottle opener and were going to just hang a right on to the cap. You’ll find that there’s going to be tension obviously. It’s the tension that holds the bottle onto the cap on to the bottle.
Now its nice though is it secured well enough, what’s going to be strong enough for you to actually lift this thing up and have the beer suspended in air? Now, this alone is going to impress some people. What you could do is take the whole thing and just give a little spin and then open it up.
Now if you want to take it to the step further, what you could do is add a little more flair to it. Pick up the bottle, okay. Give a little twirl, you can even bring it around your head okay and then open it. Another thing you could do, same technique is you get hold it, spin, go around your head, nest it right here on your neck okay and with that tension you’re going to lift and pop it off. Now when I lift it and pop it off, I’m going to have it resting on my neck. I’m just going to take it and presented to the customer on top of the bottle opener, its going to look like this, a little bit flair okay. All you’re going to do, grab your beer, lift, spin around your head. Stop within your neck, pop it up, place it there, present to your customer. I’m going to show one more bottle opening technique.
