Happy New Year! So this is the last, last song of 2006. This will be lesson number 11. So I just want to wish all of you a Happy New Year and I hope you guys had a really good year so far and I hope you guys got chocolate, lots of chocolate and spoil the fun, the presents and stuffs. Hopefully keyboards, I just bought well—I kind of pick up on my MIDI keyboard on eBay, or like not that much money. So to be easy on that, trying to like, just like what is on my computer and like compose stuffs like that.
Anyway, Not even can or talk about anymore. As you can see I’m kind of happy and I got to lose it, that’s what is going on and I think it is because I ate too much chocolate this week. I got like tons of boxes of chocolate from… too many chocolates! Alright, Mom says, autumn unlike Odie and “if you can”, I hope cats can, doesn’t take much chocolate for Odie is our cat.
Okay, so if you’re ready we’re gonna be learning about the difference between harmonic and melodic scales and what’s a minor scales about early harmonicon mulatto. And also chromatic scales, yeah! Just that, but I have to check my notes. So first thing we’re gonna land in, (I guess I’ll show you chromatic scales first because I’d pretty done it simple).
So, how are we gonna start is, chromatic scale is just playing every scale of the piano. So, if you want me to play chromatic scales from here, so one octo, that would be all of these notes from between all the black note on the white note. So, to play that efficiently you’re not gonna be trying to go like (music) couldn’t be a probably like (music playing), just something like that. We don’t really do that because it is with chromatic scales, you’re just gonna be going along the place. So, we device a pattern that unless makes them and people get started.
It’s a little bit hard in the start of lame that actually it practices about just do really slowly and work on if you can do it with your eyes closed eventually. Okay, so I’m gonna put on my thumb on C, just like this (music playing), and now the pattern is 1-3-1-3, sounds can be 1-3 and then down to the next white note 1-3-1. Okay, so the white note you gonna have your thumb on it, the black note and the third. So, for the entire time you’ll gonna be doing a chromatic scale, third is gonna always be on the black notes, and some will always be on the white notes.
Now there are 2 exceptions to these, unless this the one you get hear on the white note or the middle white note. Okay, so as you going up the scale like this, now you can’t use a third here because there’s no black note or after it and I will stay and I will just play it like this, because I’d be skipping note, that’s not right! Okay, how the devise this is just to say… okay, what’s to see every third, on the black note, because I am now in between, that is the second, so use your second your second finger so go 1-3-1-3-1-2-3-1-3-1-3-1-3-3. So, whenever you got to spot one base gonna be on two white notes? Anyway you just gonna be as one and two to play them. So, as we going up, (music playing) how are you gonna go up using two for the second on like this.
Anyway, I am really happy here and also I have not been sleeping very much. What if you can tell! As we going up, we’ll gonna do that but on your way down it’s gonna change a little bit like it won’t be 1-2 it will be 2-1 because you are going down.5:00:0 So, if you gonna go down, your first thumb is on C and you gonna go down you can put your second finger there so that you can play like that (music playing).
