Ken Dolan: As you know Daria and I've hosted, we have stopped counting but I don't know, we've hosted more than 5000 radio and television shows. And I would say predominantly, I mean personally and professionally, we very much agree on almost everything.
Daria Dolan: Most everything. Howsoever --
Ken Dolan: Have you found -- you found something.
Daria Dolan: Ah ha! I did indeed.
Ken Dolan: Wait, wait, this is a He Said She Said. We want to do something else, we'll make this a He Said She Said video.
Daria Dolan: Okay.
Ken Dolan: Alright okay. Give me the case. What's the case?
Daria Dolan: The headline read, court rules bank robber can keep lottery $1 million dollar prize.
Ken Dolan: Oh Massachusetts!
Daria Dolan: You got it.
Ken Dolan: Alright. Now hold on. Alright, I think I know where -- but let me -- it was called a violation, him buying a lottery ticket was a violation of his parole and it read not to gamble, purchase lottery tickets, or visit any establishment where gaming is conducted, that's what the parole said. If you do that you'll violate parole. He won a million dollars and he's already started getting the first of the 20 years worth of $50,000 per year. 20 years $50,000.
Daria Dolan: So.
Ken Dolan: So I say give him a break, it's a small violation.
Daria Dolan: What don't you get about parole? The parole -- says you may not gamble.
Ken Dolan: I'm standing here, the microphone works, the people can see you.
Daria Dolan: You can argue that he didn't go where gaming is conducted because if you walk into a grocery store and buy a lottery ticket or a coffee shop and buy a lottery ticket or a newspaper stand and buy a lottery ticket, that's not a gambling establishment, I will grand you that. But it is quite clear not to gamble or purchase lottery tickets $1 million lottery prize.
Ken Dolan: Why are you screaming?
Daria Dolan: Because it is just obscene. What did the State of Massachusetts have to pay to prosecute this guy and feed and keep him sheltered in prison before his parole came up? That should go back to the State.
Ken Dolan: He Said She Said, that means two people speak.
Daria Dolan: Go.
Ken Dolan: What you're saying is the letter of the law says, he's not supposed to purchase lottery ticket.
Daria Dolan: You got it.
Ken Dolan: Gamble or purchase lottery ticket.
Daria Dolan: Where does this -- off?
Ken Dolan: The State of Massachusetts at least so far has said that he can keep the money, I say it's a very small thing.
Daria Dolan: I bet you.
Ken Dolan: It may help in his rehabilitation.
Daria Dolan: I bet you a million bucks that the minimum was spent between the trial, the conviction, the housing in the prison, and now paying a parole officer to keep track of him.
Ken Dolan: Well --
Daria Dolan: Nice job buddy.
Ken Dolan: She Said He Said I think you have a point in that. I believe you're still a ward of this State --
Daria Dolan: Yes.
Ken Dolan: Somehow in --
Daria Dolan: He is under parole, he can't leave this thing.
Ken Dolan: The bottom line is Daria says, he should not get the money. I say, let it be, I' m pretty cool about it. Let it be, maybe it'll help in his rehabilitation. But here's the catch. Let's see who wins this, I'm very opinionated that, that they should leave him alone.
Daria Dolan: Oh! The judges have already ruled, is the state going back to court.
Ken Dolan: No! No! Right now he's getting the money, that's where it stands, Dolans@Dolans.com. What do you think, should he be allowed to continue to get the part of the million dollar prize 20, $50,000 dollars a year? Or -- give the money back, that's it, you've violated a small piece of the parole, give me the money back.
Daria Dolan: But a very clear piece of the parole.
Ken Dolan: Okay.
Daria Dolan: You decide.
Ken Dolan: Dolans@Dolans.com. Listen --
Daria Dolan: Try and pick a candidate --
Ken Dolan: Whoever you think, whoever you think is right, absolutely just give your opinion, whoever you think is right, okay. Let us know at Dolans@Dolans.com. I'm going to tell you I think it's very small. It's just a small little thing, it is a small deal.
Daria Dolan: It's against the law.
