Cynthia Sass: A lot of people think of peanut butter as a nutritional no, no but actually one of
the healthiest food on the planet. Just look for natural brands that aren’t made any
partially hydrogenated oils which create unhealthy trans fats. The only ingredients
in jars like these are peanuts and solids. Did you know that recent studies found
that the antioxidant content of roasted peanuts rivals blackberries and
strawberries? Peanut butter taste amazing right off the spoon but you can also
melt it and drizzle it over a whole grain waffle type with slice bananas. And for
just 200 calories you get a generous portion about two tablespoons. I with
measure it so I won’t go overboard if you are trying to eyeball it a tablespoon is
about the size of your thumb from where it bents to the tip. For more information
of MUFA’s check out my blog at prevention.com/foodforthought, I love it.
