Cynthia Sass: Did you know that peanuts are the edible seeds from pine cones? In addition to
there MUFA’s they also provide some protein, fiber and iron. Peanuts have been
eaten around the world for centuries by Latino, Asian, Native American and
Mediterranean cultures. In Greece peanut are often preserve in honey or use as a
key ingredient in classic pastel. I just love there unique flavor and I sprinkle them
on everything from hammiest to garden salads even in my morning whole grain
cereal. They can buy them raw and you can roast them your self, all you have to
do is sprinkle them on to a flat tray and roast in the oven at 350 degrees for about
10 minutes. Or you can toast them on top of the soup in a heavy scale it until they
turn golden. That’s the easy part; the top part is taking to the recommended two
tablespoon serving. I’m Cynthia Sass reminding you to eat your MUFA’s/
