Healthy Halloween cupcakes, trick or treat? I’m Avery Mac and in today’s fit life, we’re going to give you
a Halloween quick tip. That’s right, everybody is looking for a tasty treat but they don’t want to trick
their waistline, so this is what you’re going to do. You’re going to take a box of devil’s food, that’s right
devil’s food cake mix and you’re going to make it just as the box tells you to except you’re going to
change two or three ingredients. This is what you’re going to do. Instead of eggs, you’re going to use
egg white or egg substitute and instead of vegetable oil, you’re going to use the exact same amount of
plain applesauce. Bake it as usual and when it comes to icing, you’re going to add food coloring to a can
of whipped cream cheese icing. That will make it yellow. I wanted to make it orange. That’s what you
want, you want Halloween orange.
And maybe you’re going to add two packs of hazelnut splenda, that’s really going to give it an extra
flavor. Now, the final Martha Stewart secret, don’t tell anybody is you kind of use the pastry bag to ice
it. This is really going to give it that professional look. Trust me, they’re going to be awesome. It looks
delicious right. Before I forget, for Halloween, thanksgiving and Christmas decorations and gifts, go to
brookstone.com, use the code showfit and you’re going to save 10% of any order. That’s it for today.
