Good job! Now we have an idea of the melody for the first eight bars. Let's go through it one more time. So, again 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, a 3, a 4 a C Minor 7 to the F 7, 1, 2, a 3, a 4, a 1, 2, 3, 4, a 1, 2, 3, a 4, a 1, 2, 3, 4, 1, 2, 3, a 4, G Minor; the next part is the #9, continue, 3, a 4, a 1. Just the same thing all over again, 3, 3 a 4, a 1, 2, 3, 4, a 1, 2, a 3, a 4, a 1, a 2, a 3, a 4, a, here is where it changes 3, a 4, a 1, 2, a 3, 4.
So that melody is the same thing for the first 16 bars except for that last bar: 3, 4, a 1, 2, 3, 4, a 1, 2, 3, 4, a 1, 2, 3, 4, a 1, 2. The #9 repeats. I don't expect you to play it this fast. Here's what the difference is. We go down and we play E, F#, G and that G Minor is going to hold it for 2 bars. So, again the 2nd time we cycle through those eight bars, E, F#, G. Again, I was really only expecting you to play the melody with me, but you should have an idea of the harmony that's going on underneath this right now.
