Heat and Stick Powder Tutorial
Hi, stampers. For today’s daily dose of stamping, I’m going to show you how to use heat and stick powder in less than a minute.
So this is from stamping up and what it does it’s like an embossing powder that turns sticky when you heat it. So I’m going to use this summer stamp and I’m going to use my Versamark. You can use any kind of pigment ink which is the sticky kind of ink so a color if you want but I like a Versamark a lot. It’s clear and we’re going to pour so that heat and stick powder on there. Tap off the excess and then we’re going to heat it. Now when we heat it you only want to heat it for just a few seconds, just enough for that white powder on there to turn to a glossy pinky color.
Now you can see a little bit of an outline and it’s all sticky. Now this is where it’s funny, you can play with your glitters. So we’re going to use some green glitter and I’m going to actually just paint it on where the leaves are, knock off the excess. I’m going to go to my brown glitter. We’re going to paint the stems, knock off the excess and then we’re going to paint the flowers. And we’re going to use some pink, rub the glitter on there, alright and then you got you’re different colors of glitter and heat it one more time real quick.
Just for a few a seconds and that’s sets in there, knock off any extra glitter that you’ve got and that’s the beauty of heat and stick powder.
See you next time.
