Good afternoon. My name is Amy Stewart. And now, we’re going to talk about what type of container you may want to use for your herb garden. And, we’ll talk about what I’m going to use today.
I brought in several different kinds of containers just to give you an idea and we’re going to work with a couple of them, but I wanted to just let you see what’s available, sort of at the home center. And certainly, there price points that are different on each one. This one is actually an antique ceramic one that I’m going to be putting our herb garden into today. And that one, as you can already see, I got my herbs kind of arranged in. This one is actually a very heavy metal pot and we’re going to do some transplanting into this one although you could very easily put a couple of herbs in there and grow this on your porch as well.
And my least favorite choice for container gardening is plastic mostly because it gets kind of dingy overtime. You can kind of see that this one is looking a little bit bad, so we’re not going to be using plastic today. And if you choose a pot like this at your home center, just know that a couple of years from now, this is what it is going to look like and these are going to stay looking much nicer as time goes on.
