High Cholesterol and Sweating

Mike Brown: Hi! This is Mike Brown from Long Beach, California. Does sweating a lot have anything to do with high cholesterol?

Melvyn Rubenfire: Mike, the relationship between sweating and cholesterol is nil. People with a high cholesterol don't necessarily sweat. People who sweat a lot don't necessarily have high cholesterol.

The only time it would be potentially somebody with a high cholesterol could have serious heart disease and that could cause sweating. But that's somebody who would really be sure and recognize their own heart failure. It would be serious problem with people who had heart-attacks in the past. So you shouldn't be worried about sweating if you have high cholesterol or vice-versa.
