High-fructose corn syrup & Obesity in Children

Male Speaker: Society today lives on a unfortunately a new thing across 20-25 years corn syrups. There are in everything. Are they healthy?

Female Speaker: There are some studies to suggest that high-fructose corn syrup may break down a little different in our body. Actually may give us more calories and actually with that insulin ratios, it may actually raise your blood sugar more than your typical corn syrup or typical table sugar. Therefore dropping your insulin much quicker and getting you more hungry, but that's controversial.

Male Speaker: Giving anything that's a quick rise of your blood sugar may not be a good thing for you to walk with eating habits down the road.

Female Speaker: Exactly.

Male Speaker: So if you see a lot of corn syrup in any particular product it might be good to limit that product if you can.

Female Speaker: Yes.
