In this video, I'm going to demonstrate how to make this little holiday craft project. It's as you can see, it's a little triangle of card stack with acrylic in the front and some Christmas candies inside. Of course, you could easily adapt this to make it for Valentines Day or to hold favors at a wedding or pretty much anything you need.
Okay, here’s what we’re going to do. To start, you need a piece of card stack rectangle. This is four inches by eight inches approximately. You begin by folding it in half. The folds need to be lined up. So, fold it in half and scour it. Now, after you’ve folded it, open it up again. And this time, pull it over to the side like this and pinch. Don’t make a fold, just make a little pinch. Do the same at the other end. Fold it and pinch. Then, open up. Then, carefully go from the pinch to the side over here and fold. Open that up, the pinch to the side and fold, the same there, the same there. So now, you have a shape that of course you can see it’s going to fit together like that. But first, we’re going to make a cut in one side. Now for this one, I've cut a little scallop circle using a nestabilities dye. This one was also done with a nestabilities dye and it was the Christmas tree shape.
This is the scallop circle but obviously you could cut anything you wanted or you could use a craft punch or cut something freehand.
Now, the next step is to turn it over. And using a clear piece of acrylic, glue your acrylic down to cut with a hole. And then using your scissors trim off any excess that’s getting in the creases. Now that that’s glued down, the next step is to put it together like so. And you’ll be punching holes. I used a crocodile. But punch holes through there. This is where you rip and go. So, using however you intend to punch it. Punch holes through there. And then, turn it over on this side and punch hole through there. Now, with your holes punched, that’s either four holes. Assemble it like this. Take a strip of ribbon and thread your ribbon to all four holes and tie a bow on the top. And now, don’t forget to put your candy in first.
