Marc: Welcome to Episode five of the Wood Whisperer video podcast. Today, we are actually will have a very special holiday edition of the show. It is a holiday buying guide. Actually, I got my beautiful wife here with me Nicole. She is going to help me out with the just introducing some of the products to you. In fact, tell everybody what we usually do every year when this catalogues come into mail.
Nicole: Oh, I just saw, when these catalogues come in. Marc finds a lot of different ways to let me exactly what he is looking for Christmas this year. So, we thought we put this Podcast together that kind of to give you and your love ones a better head start this holiday season.
Marc: A lot of the items that we are going to feature today are actually available in the Wood Whisperer Store and that is a new feature of our website. Just click on the Wood Whisperer Store button right there in the Home page and it will take you there.
The Wood Whisperer store is actually an Amazon.com affiliate site. So, everything that you can find on Amazon is also in the store. But, it is a good place for me to feature special products, you know, things that I want to bring your attention too, and make them very easily available to you directly through the website. It is a great way to support the show and it is all the same prices that you find—if you went directly to Amazon.com.
Nicole: Yes.
(Commercial)
So, the first category we are going to talk about are the gifts that are $10.00.00 and under. So, these are really great for stocking stoppers. Bring it.
Marc: Give a big stocking. That is not big enough; I have one twice the size, that should you need to get.
Nicole: Exactly, so the first product we are going to talk about is nozzle caps. These are actually affordable they are about $7.00 for a bunch of them. How many do you think?
Marc: I do not know. 25 or 30?
Nicole: 25 or 30?
Marc: Yeah, they come a little, you know, pop shape container but they are actually cool. If you look here, I have a little tube of liquid nails that I have actually run out of them. I had few these around. You actually can sort of roll it down on the tip of this and stop it from solidifying into tubes.
Nicole: The next product that we are going to talk about is the asset brushes. Now, these are great little things and I know Marc uses them a lot. I see them laying around on the shop floor all the time. In fact, Ivy just stole a few of them from time to time and uses them in my class. He does not know about that but he knows now.
Marc: How dare you woman.
Nicole: These are great tools; you can get a pack of these, 72 of them in fact for around $6.99.00 from the Wood Whisperer Store.
Marc: 72 for $6.99.00 is an awesome price. I know a couple of times your author had a big sale and I stack up and I was not even aware of this price was out there. So, I think from now on, I am going to do that because that is just a regular price for 72 pieces.
Nicole: So, the next item that we have is Easy Marc Marking Lines. These round around $3.99.00 and you can get this at Rockler. Actually, I have not idea what they are. I have probably bought them at some time.
Marc: Actually, we have not. This I found at Rockler last night and I guess there are new. It is one of these things and Rockler has a neck of inventing things that we can make ourselves but if you are a little lazy and you want to save some time.
You could purchase these things. They are actually elastic cords, connected with the just a little metal pieces at the end and you can stretch this across. Let us say you are making a book case, or it is usually for case work and you know, there is actually a piece of material under the work piece and you want to drive some nails through.
Usually, you have to scribe the line, you know, sometimes you might want a piece of tape across there to mark where you actual nail line is. I think they come in three packs and there are three lengths of 10-inch, 20-inch and 30-inch, and you just stretch them across the space there. And it gives you a perfect line that tells you exactly where you need to drive your nails. And it does not mark the surface.
