Holiday Safety is Important

Expensive electronics are purchased more often during the holiday season than any other time of the year. But expensive home theaters systems, computers and other electrical appliances can be damaged or destroyed by electrical surges.

Surges are sudden and unwanted increases in voltage that can occur when high powered appliances such as washers, driers, kitchen appliances and heating and cooling equipment turn the power on and off. Lightning strikes also create surges but 60 day the 80% of surges are created within the home. The Electrical Safety Foundation International recommends you purchase and replace surge protectors when buying high end electronics.

Plug in protectors go to work inside your home to help guard against damage from high voltage surges passing through electric, phone and cable lines.

Make sure you have enough outlets to power all pieces of your home office and entertainment equipment.
