Home Decor: Rope Canisters

Home Decor: Rope Canisters - as part of the home design series by GeoBeats. These vessels are great anywhere in the home. They are perfect for the kitchen,for storing tea or coffee, and the bathroom for cue tips. I wanted to design something that was more utilitarian but also beautiful. It is hand thrown porcelain that is unglazed on the exterior and sanded. And then the interior has a clear liner so that you can store things that are food safe. I also wanted to add something that was a unique take on a handle. So we added this twisted cotton cord that I bought from a reading supply company. It is just a simple way of adding a unique twist on an average jar.
