My mom, age 85, has very burning, dry eyes. Very painful for her. She got plugs, which worked for a while. Restasis is not working for her these days. We will try this physician's suggestion. Thank you for this video.

Home Remedies for Dry Eyes Dr. Travis Stork: But what can I do Jim if I’m home and I’m just suffering from dry eyes. Dr. Jim Sears: Simple home remedies. First step, take a potato, cut it in a half and warm it up in the microwave, right? Then put it in a towel and put that nice warm potato over your eye and the heat will actually help loosen up the oil glands in your eyelid which will help more oil get secreted into your tears like Dr. Lucille said, a lot of the wetness in your eyes would depend on the oil. Also just improving your diet in terms of Omega 3 fats, eating healthier, washing off your makeup at night, and not sleeping face down into the pillow will help improve the oil in your eyelids too.
