This is the egg noodles I made myself. It doesn’t look as good as the one you can buy in the market but
it’s tastes better than any other noodles you can buy from any shops so it’s very time consuming but it’s
worth it because everybody loves it. It’s just so nice. I spend a lot of time to make egg noodles.
Actually it’s quite simple to make, it’s just time consuming. You only need like half pound of plain flour
all purpose flour, one egg mixed it, a dash of salt and put some water to just make into a soft dough and
you need the dough to smooth and roll the dough out like that. I still have some left here and then you
just roll them out and use this rolling pin, roll into a very very thin layer. I’m going to show you. What
you do here is knead the dough into very firm and smooth like that. When it’s smooth, we’ll probably
use half. Just press them flat and then some flour on the rolling pin so it doesn’t stick and some flour on
this surface as well.
Then you use the rolling pin just to roll them out into a very very thin layer. It’s getting sticky. Make
sure every, each side that the edge is all equally thin, or not equally or evenly, do the best you can
basically. It doesn’t matter the shape because you’re not going to get the perfect shape. Just do the
best you can. It’s all very thin now. Just get a few here, turn this over to this side. When it becomes
really really thin like this, the thinner the better because the thinner noodles taste really smooth. That
will do now so you put some flour on the top then roll them together, put more flour to prevent them
sticking together. More flour. Like that. Roll them into that and then we’re going to cut it. Right here
I’ve got it on my chop board and just going to cut into thin strips like this. Cut in whatever the width you
wish. If you like flattened noodles, you can cut a big wider. If you like small noodles, thin noodles, just
cut them really thin. Thin strips like what I’m cutting here is very thin strips but it’s not thinner, it’s just
normal noodles.
The last you have to open out. Okay, that’s it. Put more flour on the board. Put more flour to just
separate them. Very quick, that’s our noodles, homemade noodles. Very nice and very tasty. Hang
them on the chair, the back of the chair or put on tea towel on the back of the chair and hang them up
there just to let it dry for 20 minutes and you can do whatever with the noodles you made and it’s really
tasty. Try it once and you’ll find the difference between the noodles you buy from the market and the
homemade noodles. Here’s the noodles that I just made and it’s probably about 2/3 left out of that 250
gram flour I used, a half pound of it. I used some for my boys lunch, I’ve still got loads left so it’s well
enough for a whole family. This is the wonton noodle soup I made out of that homemade noodles and if
