Female Speaker: Hi, we are back with Abby Pecoriello better known as the Crafty Mama. Abby is here today to show us how to make some great Halloween costumes that are easy and cheap, it sticks to my favorite words actually.
Abby Pecoriello: Mine as well. Thanks for being here.
Female Speaker: No, you are welcome and I was just admiring this table and thinking you know this is all really great stuff and it looks like you just it's the personal touch that makes its so great.
Abby Pecoriello: Yes, I like adding a little personal flare you know initials, or kids photos, there are names to everything just because you know to show that you are celebrating your own child.
Female Speaker: Right, it's great now let's start with the Tutu. You say you can make one yourself.
Abby Pecoriello: Yes, in yeah 10 minutes, it's the 10 minute tutu.
Female Speaker: Yeah!
Abby Pecoriello: No sowing, no muss, no fuss, no hot glue even.
Female Speaker: Oh, wow alright then, what do we do?
Abby Pecoriello: All you need is a little elastic hair band, you can get these at the dollar store I know you love cheap you get 6 per dollar. So you could just make 6 Tutu's and if you take a Tulle, you cut it up into strips it depends on how along you want your Tutu, if you want it long and balletic you might want a 20 inch strip. Short, you might want a 6 to 12 inch strip and you just tie it around.
Female Speaker: It's just a plain all tie like a little.
Abby Pecoriello: Just tie it around.
Female Speaker: Okay.
Abby Pecoriello: You keep tying and tying and tying and about 40 pieces of tulle later, you don't tie it too tight.
Female Speaker: Yeah.
Abby Pecoriello: And you want slide them together.
Female Speaker: And you know your kids could help with this, this is what so great.
Abby Pecoriello: You can add ribbons and rhinestones to add flare to the Tutu, you can put flowers on it you can put pom-poms on it, we have pom-poms on one, anything that balance.
Female Speaker: It's really just use your imagination this when you actually did you used ribbons.
Abby Pecoriella: Yeah.
Female Speaker: Oh, there are some Tulles in there and use different types of tulle, oh that's great.
Abby Pecoriella: Yeah. I kind of that with a wider rim tulle, I put some little ribbons and jewels in it and this is one of my daughters favorite it's extra puffy.
Female Speaker: Oh, yeah that's one of my favorites too. Alright let's talk about these great little hat too.
Abby Pecoriella: Oh, these are great this is the no so Mohawk hat, your kid is like a rock star or punk rocker, you don't have to kind of go giving him a buzz.
Female Speaker: All right.
Abby Pecoriella: You can kind of work them a Mohawk like this, or if there is like a source. You just need a piece of fleece you cut it into a helmet shape like that you can use an existing hat that your child has or measure the circumference of their head and figure it out. You take an eyelet plier that you can get at any craft store and you punch holes.
Female Speaker: Okay. I see - but no these holes are small and you have made a little bit bigger, how did you do that?
Abby Pecoriella: How do - you know what I do I make them bigger by fussing.
Female Speaker: Okay.
Abby Pecoriella: You know, by taking the taking the piece of fleece and putting in through.
Female Speaker: All right. You also have some great things out here case like the one you have on, on your shirt and this one here. How do you do that, that's just special.
Abby Pecoriella:Yeah, this is awesome. This is iron on transfer paper that you can get at any office supply store, I have every image on here, I have the facts of life, I have an artichoke, I have dinosaurs whatever my daughters in she is a T-shirt to celebrate it. You have got Google images and pick up you know images of course you can't sell them.
Female Speaker: Yeah. Right, okay.
Abby Pecoriella: That's not fair and but you pick them up and you print them upon to the paper and iron them on.
Female Speaker: There you go, alright and all these project and then some in your book.
Abby Pecoriella: Yes, all in Crafty Mama.
