Orange and Brown Look
Hi, everyone. It’s Jen. I’ll be going to creating this look using mainly orange and brown. And I’ll get close to you so you could see the look. It does have a little bit of glitter as you could see. I really love this look. And I’ll show you guys you’ll look great with it too. No matter what eye color you have. I cannot show you that this look will look awesome so if you want to learn how to get this look, just keep watching.
Okay so let’s get started. I’ve already applied my Urban Decay Primer Potion all over my lid up to my brow bone and under my eye. Next, I’m going to be taking my Maxine’s mop brush and create something in. Then I’m going to take my Crystal Avalanche by MAC which is that one right there. It’s a white with curl in it so it’s shimmery and we’re going to be applying it on our lid, now going past the crease and leaving the eye and one-third of the eye alone. And too dark as well right under and bring it in just a little bit because it will brighten up the eye area. Okay so just an even coat, just like that.
Next, I’m going to be taking my 217 and we’re going to be taking orange which is just an orange color right there. Take little by little. I’m going to start off by putting in on the other corner of the eye, bringing it in on our crease. It doesn’t go on very light, a heavy orange or a highly pigmented orange. So you have to just continue to apply until you get the desired intensity on it, bringing it in just a little just as long as you don’t go below the crease.
Sometimes my camera does get a little blurry and I try to keep it from doing that. But sometimes it’s a little hard to keep in track of it. The reason I get so close to it is because I want you guys to see exactly what I’m doing and I think that’s the best way to learn, not just from far away and also you can see all the detail on the eye and the shape that I’m going and I’m doing. So that’s why I do it. I do apologize that sometimes it gets out of focus.
So we’re just bringing this up and we’re blending it out. We’re going to bring it up to our brow bone and we’re going to be following the shape of the eye brow. I’m going below the crease. Next, I’m going to be taking my brush that’s a little bit bigger than the 219 and I will be taking brown down by MAC and that’s one right there. It’s just a MAC brown, just like the orange it’s a MAC color. No shimmer to it. I want to place it right on the outer corner of the eye bringing it in on our crease. Not going below the crease, bring it all the way in.
And with this brush what we do is we basically just get the shape that we want and then later worry about the blending. So for now, just focus on where the brown should go and if you want to do a little blending on the way, you can do that. So we’re going to use a different brush to achieve it and get a little bit more of that brown so I’ll get the intensity that I want so just like that. And I know it’s a little sloppy. But next I’m going to be taking my face secrets eye contour brush. So I'm going to take that same brown and I’m going to contour right on the crease bringing it just lightly, just a little bit.
And don’t worry if you overpower the orange. We can always go back and add some more and the blending does take a little while. Guys I know, it gets a little frustrating seeing here just blending but it’s very important. I think that’s what makes the look awesome and well blended so taking time to blend is a must in my opinion. I’m going to take my 217 again, get a little bit more that orange because I did lose a little of it which is okay. And just kind of put it over that brown and that way gets a nice blended look. I'm bringing it upwards, not heavy handed when you do that. When you go up or just be light handed. I think I’m done with that.
Next I’m going to be taking my eye shadow brush. It looks like that. So I’m going to take vanilla to use it as my highlight which is that one. Just very slight shimmer on this vanilla and you don’t have to use this one. You can use MAC 1 too if you want just keep on that MAC type of look.
I’m just blending right where they meet and it’s okay if you lose the color. I tend to do that quite a bit because I love the blending part of it. But if you do lose some of that color you can always go back and fix that. So I’m just basically just bringing it all the way in and so it brightens out the area of the eye. So basically that’s blended but I think I need a little more of that one so I’m going to take my 217 again. Get just a little bit because I don’t want to have any harsh lines. I want to bring it in and just powder it all upwards. If I decide whatever works for you, just don’t be heavy handed with this. That works so just like that.
And as usual for those of you that have been watching my videos, I’ll leave the bottom to last so I’m going to be applying my Teddy. This is my Kohl crayon liner and it’s a brown. It has a little bit of shimmer to it. We’re going to be placing it right inside the rim of our eye and upper part as well. Now if you can’t do this, make sure you put enough at the bottom. Make sure you put tons of it, close your eye really tightly and then it will get it up there. So just like that and it’s a little messy. That’s okay.
So next I’m going to be taking my 219 and I'm going to be taking some of that orange placing it right underneath that brown. You can mix it together. Do whatever you want with it and yes guys, for those you that don’t think that orange looks good on you, it does. There are no rules to makeup. Do whatever makes you happy whenever you want, rock it and work it.
Don’t care what books say. You just do what you think looks good on you and that’s all that matters and just have fun with your makeup. Don’t be afraid. I know a lot of you we’re telling me, “Oh my god I can’t wear that.” Yes, you can. You can wear it. Bring it just a little bit and I’m putting it quite a bit done here and I always do that. I don’t know why. It’s just like a habit that I just like the effect that it gives my eye. You can do it as thin or thick as you want. So that’s good. This is pretty much how it supposed to look.
Next what I’m going to be doing is I’m going to be putting my false lashes and my liner and as you guys already know I skip that part on my videos just because I don’t like them to be longer than 10 minutes.
So I’m going to use the Revlon color stay liquid liner and this is bronze shimmer. You can use the MAC brown. It’s up to you guys. I just did this one because I use Teddy and Teddy had that shimmering type of look too. And for my lashes, I’m going to use my NYC 974A which are my favorite ones. And they’re like $2.00 at the Drugstore and if you don’t know how to apply these lashes on, refer to how to apply false lashes video and I can definitely help you with that. So I’m going to go ahead and get that done guys and I’ll be right back.
So I’m back. I’ve already applied my false lashes, my liquid liner and I did apply some makeup Forever diamond powder number 4 and this is just a brown glitter. I just put a little bit right below my brow area and I’ll get close so you could see. I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial. Thank you so much for watching and subscribing and I’ll talk to you guys later. Take care, bye.
