How Breast Reduction Works
Dr. Andrew Ordon: So in a nutshell, I want to give you a little bit of an idea of how we
do this doctor if you can hold it for me. How do you like this breast
it comes pre-cut.
Female: It does.
Dr. Andrew Ordon: This is pretty cool.
Female: And it doesn’t squirt milk.
Dr. Andrew Ordon: So what we do we start by making incisions we’re actually just
taking a wedge out of the breast. We start by peeling of the skin
that’s what we call removing the skin envelope or brassier. We
then actually remove you know the breast tissue like so in the form
of a wedge, okay so you’ve reduced the volume of your breast and
then you just saw things together like saw these two sides come
together and give you a nice breast cone with breast projection et
cetera to do that you’re left with an incision that shape like an
anchor or an inverted tea. It takes about two to three hours.
Dr. Lisa Masterson: I like to say even though it seems like they're maybe a lot of scars
in it, you don’t make any scars at all but.
Dr. Andrew Ordon: Well there is always scars but--
Dr. Lisa Masterson: Yeah, but the women that I have see who had breast reductions are
so, so happy.
