How Guitar Hero Works on the DS

Before you can become a Rockstar with Guitar Hero on Tour, there are a few things you'll need to know. Your box contains one Guitar Hero on Tour game, the guitar grip and pick. First, you'll need to attach the guitar grip to a Nintendo DS. Remove the pick stylers from the guitar grip. Insert your hand that it adjusts the strap so that it is secure, but comfortable, putting your fingers on the keys. Now open the DS, press start and begin playing right away with Quickplay from the single player menu. Choose the song you want to shred to and on the left screen, you'll see the note highway, on the right side you'll see your guitar. As the gems come down the highway on the left, press the correct color fret button and stroke the touchscreen with the stylus stick when one note hits the end of the highway.

To get the most out of a long note, touch the pick anywhere on the screen and wiggle it like a mad man. Unleash the glory of star power by completing star gem sequences. Once you have filled up your start power meter, activate your star power for major shred points by yelling rock out into the Nintendo DS microphone. If you can't yell 'Rock out' into the microphone, you can press any button on the control pad to activate star power.

Now that you've mastered the single player mode, it's time to demolish your friends in a guitar duel. If you get all of the battle gems in a sequence, you earn a tax that show up as icons on your touchscreen. To launch these attacks on your opponent you simply tap them. The pyrotechnic attack is very useful to put out the flames, your opponent blows them out with a DS microphone. Another useful attack is the autograph. If you are sent one of these, you need to sign the autograph in order to continue and with the dual screens of the DS sending your opponent an attack that flips the screens can really bump them out. As you keep playing on the path to become an official rock God you can unlock new venues and features like customizing your character and guitar.
