How I Grieve For the Loss of My Daughter - Barbara's Story
We go to the Angel of Hope, and the Angel of Hope is a statue. It comes from a book called “The Christmas Box,” and it’s a short story. It is for parents, who have lost children, but the Angel of Hope is at a cemetery over on, by Scottsdale and Bell, and they have, you can have a plaque there in memory of your child.
In our instance we have that there because we had Jenny cremated rather than put her in another box, and we’ll go there and just sit. And, you know you can bring white flowers or whatever; you can bring a note. They have a vigil, I think it’s the second Sunday, twilight vigil every year, the second Sunday, and just talking to other people, doing this.
I support the American Lung Association. We have a team for the walk. I try to let parents know who have children with asthma. Talking about it helps.
