hey guys .. diligence proves a puppy can get the idea on how to go out for their business in a week. on nov 15 2010 i had gotten a Thoroughbred Pitbull puppy she is a beautiful dark brindle with very much a good personality of her own and is much loved. when she first arrived her housetraining was nonexistant .as she had used to be allowed to go wherever she happened to be in the place where she was before.. with mother and littermates . upon getting her home we established that it doesn't matter WHAT the weather . she had to do her thing OUTSIDE! we started this right upon her arrival home. seeing as i knew about the fact they have small faculties i made sure that i was "camped " by the front door for the first week she had been with us and ready to let her outside for her business at any time. then praised her vehemently for doing exactly as asked . hope this helps ( POSITIVE reinforcement works wonders and my little girl is proof of that)

Host: How long will it take to house train my newly adopted puppy? Kevin Simpson: The adoption counts or it should be able to give you a lot of good advice but first and foremost, I would just assume that any puppy or dog that you're adopting into your home is not house trained and just go ahead from day one and start practicing standard training procedures. Which may include great training for your puppy there is many variable that can effect how quickly they become house trained one would be the feeding schedule you plays your bag on another could be the breed or age of dog. And how consistent the family is in keeping them on schedule, overall you really wanted to just be patient. It will happen and be consistent.
